How do I inquire about a posting?

You will need to contact the owner of the posting directly. You can send an email in the "Inquiry" section of any posting page. Membership is required.

How will travelers contact me?

Prospects will contact you directly from your posting. Your email will be hidden until your reply.

How long does it take for a response to an inquiry?

You are almost always dealing with an individual fractional or private residence club owner, rather than the resort's management or an automated reservation system. Most owners have jobs, families, and take their own vacations, all of which may cause a delay in response time. We typically ask that you give every owner one week to reply. If you have not received a response after one week, please send us the information and posting that you have inquired about and we will follow up.

How do I complete a rental transaction?

Finalizing a transaction once you've found your renter is simple. You can choose to manage the transaction privately or make use of a third-party escrow service to help with the transfer. Escrow services are Highly recommended. Vacation Escrow.

How do I determine the rental price?

You will need to do a little homework to determine your weekly rate. Having your residence priced right is very important in getting it rented. You might be able to check with local rental agencies it see what the public rates are for your time of year. With that information, you can determine your rate. It is also important to understand that if you rented your week through an agent you would pay between 25% and 40% of the rental price as a fee to the agent, so you should be able to give a good discount from the regular rate since we don't charge a commission.

How do I determine the sales price?

We can't advise you on your selling price. Watch out for agents that say they can get you a lot but want a large up-front fee. You will need to do a little homework to determine your best asking price, as this is very important in selling your fractional. Look at the other fractional that are posted on our website for your resort. Look at those that are currently for sale at your resort. With this information you should be able to come up with a good asking price.

When does my posting expire?

Your posting will stay active with MembersTrade® as long as your membership is current, the dates of your posting have not passed, and you have not deactivated it. Utilize MembersTrade® to plan years in advance saving your self time and money.

What are my obligations?

You must have a confirmation for the dates and location that you are posting. MembersTrade® does not recommend posting dates that you do not have a confirmation for. You must pay your resort's maintenance fee before the guest arrives. You must notify the resort that the guest will be using your reservation. Once you have traded, rented or sold your time you need to deactivate the listing. You are in control of your posting at all times.

Can I cancel my posting?

Yes, just log into your account, go to my postings and deactivate the posting.

Can I make changes to the information about my unit?

Yes, you can make changes to your listing after it is posted.

I have lost my password.

Go to the home page of MembersTrade®, in the top right hand corner where you would normally log in, click on the link "Forgot User ID/Password" and follow the instructions to have an email sent to you, in order to reset your password.

Yes. You need to be a Premium Member to post.

I posted my week, but I don’t see it on your website. What’s wrong?

Premium membership is required for posting. Your listing should be posted immediately. If this is not occurring, please contact us.

Can I register my week or points for trade, rent and sale with another company also?

Yes, you are free list your residence with anyone. Please make sure that you deactivate your listing with MembersTrade® once you have traded, rented, or sold your time.

How can I pay for my membership and posting fees?

MembersTrade® accepts all major credit cards. If you would like to pay by check or money order please contact us for arrangements. This can cause a delay in the activation of your membership or postings.

Why should I post my residence on MembersTrade®?

At only $99.00 per year, membership is a great value. Postings will stay active as long as your membership is active. For a small amount of money you can rent your residence on your own, and not share the profits. On MembersTrade® you are in control of your time. Members interested in renting your residence will email you directly through your posting page in order to arrange the purchase. All you need to do is answer emails and move forward on finalizing the transaction when you've found your renter.

Do I need to have web development experience to be able to post my property?

Web development experience is NOT required. When you become a member, you are provided a user id and password to login to Memberstrade®. Once you log in, you can create your posting by simply filling in the generic template that has already been developed to format your web page so that it appears as a professionally completed listing. Quick and easy!

How do I make arrangements to trade with other property owners?

All trading arrangements are made directly between the property owners interested in exchanges. A premium membership is required to view the trade area of MembersTrade®. MembersTrade® does not get involved in discussions, negotiations or any arrangements between parties. Nor does Memberstrade® assume any liability for the arrangements made.

How do I handle the closing and paperwork for a rental or a sale?

MembersTrade® recommends utilizing a Vacation Escrow Service to assist with this process.

Can I list all of my weeks in one posting?

Yes. Although each posting needs to be entered independently, all of your posting will be organized on one page.

I have many points and weeks that I would like to trade or rent, how can I best utilize MembersTrade®?

You can post your points and residences for trade and rent on MembersTrade® giving you exposure to more vacationers. You are in control of your points, weeks and mileage.

What if the location or dates I want are not available?

On MembersTrade®, luxury fractional and timeshare and private residence club owners post their time for trade, rent or sale, so we do not have any inventory other than what you see posted. The best option is to complete a WishTrip® request, available from the home page, or after a search that produces no results. A WishTrip® is a free service for our Premium Members. When a member posts a residence matching your preferences we will send you an email notification.

How do I add an image to my listing?

In order to add an image to your listing, you must have the image available on a web server and reachable by a URL.
